THE WORLD CHAMP BEGINS!
Saturday, 15th of April, first round. Only few days before the first meeting of the upcoming Blancpain GT Series of iRacing in Monza. The World Championship where the best teams compete in endurance races.
It’s the second edition of this tournament. After the “not good enough” results we’ve achieved in the past, where we classified with 3 teams, by lack of luck during almost the whole season, we are approaching 2017’s season with 2 teams… But with full of motivation to be fighting in the top level!
Iberica Racing BenQ, formed by Aday Coba, Adriá Pérez and Danilo Jacobs driving the McLaren MP4-12C GT3, recently chosen car after the last software update. We are sure they will handle it well, been able to extract the maximum potential of the car in each track of the schedule, which suffers a variation regarding last year’s one.
Iberica Racing Interactiv4, lead by Néstor García alongside Jon Oncala, managed to won two races in the past qualifying’s for the World Champ. Kristian Kwietniewski and Miguel Ballester fill out the team Interactiv4, giving us the guarantee of a solid team in which any help will be very useful.
Our hopes are to maximize the performance and make the most of the training sessions we have planed among the races, having selected the same car with both teams.
The rest of the drivers involved in several competitions outside the World Championship, like the iRacing Official Series, national and other platforms champs, are determined to help in the way the can to improve the preparation of each race.
Always We will try to achieve the best results possible by working so hard and putting a lot of dedication in this one. The level of the championship it’s overwhelming, probably better than last year… We are praying to have better luck with the accidents and in particular with the internet connection, which hurt us painfully in the first edition.
The schedule of the championship is composed by six endurance races, where the driver swap is obligatory, forcing at least 2 drivers to take part of the race. All the races can be followed live via iRacing’s Official YouTube Channel.
Wish the best of luck to all the teams part! We are looking forward to a thrilling season in which we can compete from the beginning until the end with fair play.
